Here you will find the cactus varieties San Pedro Trichocereus Bridgesii, Trichocerus Peruvianus, Trichocereus Pachanoi and Peyote Lophophora Williamsii. We have chosen to focus on mescaline cacti as a complement to the enthusiastic collector and botanist. Since they can be difficult to find on the Swedish market, we felt it was time to make it more accessible to be able to grow and decorate homes with these special and beautiful plants.
Their history and use is a fascinating subject. Cactuses have been used in traditional spiritual medicine and in shamanic practices in South, Central and North America for thousands of years and are considered deeply sacred. The use of cacti is exempt for indigenous peoples who have the medical teachings and knowledge in their culture and history as it falls under religious freedom.
Peyote is also known as "The plant of God" and according to Aztec mythology, it was the healing god Patecatl who discovered Peyote's properties and uses.
San Pedro has been used primarily to help people find their way back to themselves and strengthen the connection and sense of belonging with nature. Ceremonies are usually performed during the day compared to Peyote, whose ceremonies are held in the evening and overnight when the spirit world is closest to us. The practice follows strict and inherited rituals that have been designed over generations to collaborate with the helping spirits and gods one can come into contact with and to show reverence, gratitude, love and respect. People travel from all over the world to participate in these spiritual rituals in the hope of getting help with, for example, addiction, mental illness, depression and suicidal states.
Curiosity is a virtue and knowledge is not heavy to bear, but it is important to reiterate that we DO NOT encourage or support the consumption of the cactuses' active ingredient as it can lead to severe psychotic states, nausea and dizziness, respiratory difficulties and fear without the guidance and knowledge of a qualified person. If you are planning a trip abroad to participate in a mescaline ceremony, it is of utmost importance that you are not taking any form of psychotropic drugs as this can lead to serotonin syndrome and in the worst case death. Extracting mescaline from the plants is not legal in Sweden, but it is perfectly legal to own and grow seeds and plants. They are also easy to care for and only need a little water, tolerate our winter well and love the sun! We do not take responsibility if you as a customer choose to break the law after purchase and have no information to provide about preparation. The warranty applies only if you receive damaged seeds and does not cover germination. Who knows - perhaps the mere presence of these sacred cacti can promote a more inspired and joyful state of mind. Regardless, cactus growing is a rewarding and fun hobby!
